Duane J. Malin

Duane J. "Dobie" Malin, age 69, of Sylvania, passed away Wednesday, January 3, 2018 at the Toledo Hospital with his loving family by his side. He was born on October 5, 1948 to Joseph and Frances (Leitner) Malin in Toledo. Dobie worked at Hydromatic for 42 years before retiring. He enjoyed golfing and riding his motorcycle. Dobie loved nothing more than spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife of 44 years, Sandy. Dobie is survived by his sons, Jim (Kim) and Brian (Mickie) Malin; grandchildren, J.D., Lily and Leah; siblings, Joe, Tom, Pat, Sandy, Janice and Joanie; and dear friends.

The family will receive guests on Friday (today) from 4 – 8:00 p.m. at Newcomer – Northwest Chapel, 4150 W. Laskey Rd., Toledo (419-473-0300).
