With heavy hearts yet trusting in God’s grace, we celebrate the life and transition of Duane Pierce Deboe, who departed this earthly realm on April 20, 2026, at the age of 54.
Born on May 28, 1971, in Toledo, Ohio, Duane lived a life that could not be confined to ordinary definitions. He was a man of spirit, depth, and transformation, a modern-day alchemist who saw beauty and purpose where others saw none. Through his hands, worn and forgotten things were made whole again. Through his words, people found clarity, comfort, and strength.
A devoted Christian, Duane walked in faith, carrying his own unique understanding of God and life. He believed in growth, redemption, and the power of knowledge, always seeking truth and sharing wisdom with those around him. To many, he was more than a father, brother, or friend—he was a guide, a listener, and a source of light in uncertain times.
Duane had a presence that could never be ignored. He was charismatic, smooth in his words, and effortlessly connected with people from all walks of life. He never met a stranger, only souls he had yet to know. His laughter, his conversations, and his energy filled every room he entered, leaving a lasting imprint on every heart he touched.
He leaves behind his beloved daughter, Sheanita Pate, and his cherished grandson, Messiah Owens, who carry forward his spirit and legacy. He is also survived by his loving mother, Delia Doig, his sister, Denelle Doig, along with stepchildren, nieces, nephews, and a community of family and friends who were deeply impacted by his life.
Though his physical presence is no longer with us, we take comfort in knowing that Duane’s journey does not end here. His spirit lives on—reflected in the lives he uplifted, the wisdom he shared, and the love he gave so freely.
“Well done, good and faithful servant.”
Duane will be deeply missed, eternally remembered, and forever carried in our hearts.
