Douglas Michael Kirsch

Douglas "Doug" Michael Kirsch, age 47, of Toledo, Ohio, passed away October 10, 2023, at his home. Doug was born on March 21, 1976, in Toledo, Ohio, to Kenneth and Joann (Hough) Kirsch.

Doug attended Start High School and then worked at Kroger and Kay Printing for many years. He was currently employed at Canberra for four years.

A singer and songwriter, music was his joy and passion. Doug enjoyed fishing, camping, and golfing. Doug cooked delicious meals and was a grill master.

Doug was the life of the party; everyone has a "Doug Story". He enjoyed making people laugh, especially at themselves! But most of all, family was most important, especially his nieces and nephews; he loved being Uncle Doug. Doug's infectious laugh, quick wit, and smile will forever be missed by those who knew him. This is not goodbye, but we will see you again!

Those left to forever cherish his memory are his loving mother, Joann Carter; siblings, Debbie (James) Warren, David Kirsch, Donna (David) Bauman, and Dan (Shelly) Kirsch; nieces and nephews, Lucas Wall, Lydia Soleau, Devin Kirsch, Dillon Kirsch, Alexa Bauman, Nicole Gorman, and Andrew Lenhart; great nieces, Sophia Sharpe and Eliana Kirsch; great nephews, Gabriel Kirsch and Gideon Kirsch; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Doug was preceded in death by his father, Kenneth Kirsch; and greeted in Heaven by his step-father, Gerald Carter.

Family and friends may visit at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 West Laskey Road, Toledo, Ohio 43623, on Thursday, October 19, 2023, from 3:00 pm - 8:00 pm. Doug's funeral service will take place on Friday, October 20, 2023, at 10:00 am, with Pastor Brad Wotring officiating. Following the service, there will be a short committal service at Historic Woodlawn Cemetery, where Doug will be laid to rest.
