Doris Barnes

Doris Barnes, 83, of Sylvania, Ohio passed away on September 14, 2026. She was preceded in death by her husband, Duane Barnes. She is survived by her daughters, Dawn (William A.) Powell and Darci Kuyoth; son, Dan Barnes; grandchildren, Steve Powell, Rob Powell, Jordan Kuyoth, and Madison Barnes; great-grandchildren, Ryley Powell and Jade Powell. 

All who knew Doris lovingly called her Dorsey. About two years ago, Dorsey became known as the lady that you would see in a store, doctor's office, or bank and ask for your hand. She would reassure you that she wasn't going to hurt you and then she would slip a guardian angel key ring into your palm. She was always rewarded with a big smile, which she would reflect in her own large smile. Dorsey loved angels, she gave them away to strangers and everyone that entered her home, and they became apart of her family's lives. One can only imagine how far her guardian angels have traveled over the years. Dorsey herself held an angel in each hand as she was welcomed into Heaven.
