Donna L. Loomis of Maumee, Ohio passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 23, 2026, at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, leaving behind a lifetime of warm memories, cherished relationships, and lasting contributions to her community.

Born on April 13, 1941, in Toledo, Ohio, Donna's roots were firmly planted in the place she called home throughout her life. She was a proud alumna of Central Catholic High School and took immense pride in remaining connected to her alma mater, dedicating her time to working at the school's concession stands during sporting events. Donna's devotion to her community extended even further by volunteering at Christ the King Catholic Church, where she often lent her skills in the kitchen for various parish events. Her service and generosity exemplified the genuine kindness and humility that characterized her throughout her life.

Donna's professional path was marked by dedication and a strong work ethic. She was a longtime member of Weight Watchers and became a familiar face at meetings, where she welcomed and weighed in other members, always fostering a supportive and encouraging environment. Her career also brought her to Jim Loss Realty Group and to Toledo Radiological Associates, where she contributed her expertise in the Billing Department.

Beyond her professional and volunteer work, Donna's life was rich with activities and interests. She found joy in simple pleasures—going for walks and tending to her garden, nurturing both her plants and her spirit. As an avid Ohio State University fan, she delighted in cheering on her team. One of the great adventures of her life was traveling with her husband; together, they embarked on 36 cruises across the world, creating treasured memories and forging stronger bonds.

Donna was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She is survived by her beloved husband, Richard Loomis; her daughter Jackie Leyman and her husband Tom Wachowiak; her sons Michael Leyman, Brian Leyman, and Tom Leyman and his significant other Ellen Matteson; her grandchildren Josh Leyman, Jacob (Jess) Leyman, Kendra (Gary) Leiser, and Jason Corulla-Leyman; and her great-grandchildren Lucy, Jack, and Dean. Donna's deep love for her family was evident in the special moments shared and the steadfast support she provided throughout their lives.

She was preceded in death by her parents Donald and Eleanor Rehkopf; her sister, Joyce Nelms; and her daughter-in-law, Tammy Leyman. Their memory lives on through the family and friends who continue to honor Donna's legacy of strength, loyalty, and compassion.
