Diane Bocian Weidinger, age 76, passed away peacefully on October 19, 2025, while at Lakes of Sylvania. Born in Toledo, Ohio, Diane was the only child of Victor and Lillianna Bocian who proceeded her in death. She was raised in Sylvania and proudly called it home throughout her entire life.
She is survived by her loving daughter and son-in-law, Kristi and Matthew Hoffman, and her cherished grandchildren, Justin Roberts, Lauren (Jacob) Turley, and Tiffani Hoffman, who affectionately knew her as Nana and were the light of her life.
Diane was spirited and strong-willed, never afraid to speak her mind. She loved fiercely and lived passionately, and there was never a doubt about where you stood with her. Beneath her tough exterior was a heart of gold, she would give you the shirt off her back without a second thought.
She will be remembered for her radiant love of sunshine and simple joys, soaking up the sun with a glass of Chablis in hand, tending to her gardens, and watching hummingbirds. She found peace on the water, whether sailing or boating, and her home was often filled with the sound of her favorite rock music, Hair Nation.
Diane will be deeply missed and forever loved by her family and friends. A celebration of her life will be shared at a later date.
Her family extends heartfelt thanks to the staff at Lakes of Sylvania for their compassionate care and kindness over the past several years.
Her giving spirit and feisty charm touched all who knew her. Her lively spark will be deeply missed.
