Diana S. Pirrwitz

Diana Pirrwitz, age 76, of Mt. Zion, Illinois, formerly of Toledo, Ohio, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on November 8, 2025 at Memorial Hospital, Springfield, Illinois.

Born to Paul J. Pirrwitz and Jean E. Beck on October 13, 1949.

She was a proud mother to James (Lorie) Ronau of Harrietta, Michigan; Jeannie (Jerry) Mikowski of Kinglsey, Michigan; Stephen Ronau of Wellston, Michigan; Danielle (Andrew) Garrett of Orlando, Florida and Melissa (Mike) Thibodeau of Toledo, Ohio.

A proud grandmother to Christopher, Ashley, Kyle, Katherine, Rory, Kayla, Samantha, Tabitha, Tjaden, Logan, Alena, Owen, Emma, Caleb, Landon and Lincoln. Along with several great-grandchildren.

She is also survived by her siblings John Pirrwitz of Oregon, Ohio and Mary (Ed) Burgess of Toledo, Ohio. Along with many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by both of her parents, brothers Richard (Dick) Pirrwitz and Kevin Howell.

Diana spent many years as a devoted stay-at-home mom before finding a career she truly loved at The Glendale Assisted Living. She found great joy in caring for others and brought kindness and laughter wherever she went.

She will be remembered for her deep love of horses, her fondness for the beach, her joy in reading, her sweet tooth, and-most of all-her love for her family, especially her grandchildren, who were the light of her life.

Diana’s warmth, spunkiness and generous spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
