Diana Faylor, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away on November 14, 2025, at the age of 82. Born on June 25, 1943, to Harold (Bud) and Rose Lee Gardner, Diana lived a life devoted to caring for others and making a difference in her community.
A proud graduate of DeVilbiss High School in 1961, Diana embarked on her career in radiology, beginning her training at the University of Toledo and Riverside Hospital. Over the course of her 52 years in the profession, she witnessed remarkable advancements in the field, and she took immense pride in sharing her knowledge with students, teaching them her “tricks of the trade.” In December 2013, she retired after 25 dedicated years at ProMedica Flower Hospital, where she left a lasting impact on her colleagues and patients alike. Following her retirement, Diana continued her commitment to service by volunteering at the Ronald McDonald House, where she provided a comforting presence to families in need.
Diana found joy and camaraderie as a lifetime member of the Outings Unlimited Club since 1994, describing it as her “home away from home” and her second family. Her enthusiasm for life and the connections she forged within this community enriched her life deeply.
Diana was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Marilyn. She is survived by her cherished daughter, Kimberly (Billy) Crane, and her son, Steve (Melissa) Munsey. Diana took great delight in her role as "Nany" to her beloved grandchildren: Rachel, Lucas, and Madison Munsey, and Colton Crane.
She is also survived by her brother, Bob (Karen) Gardner; her nieces Diane Cole, Robin (JR) Gates, and Lauren (Brian); her nephews Rick (Beth) Robertson and Tony Gardner; along with eight great-nieces, two great-nephews, one great-great-niece, and three great-great-nephews, all of whom will miss her dearly.
A Celebration of Life honoring Diana will be held on Saturday, December 13, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at The Outings Unlimited, located at 5907 Edgewater Drive, Toledo, OH 43611. Family and friends are invited to gather in remembrance of a remarkable woman who touched the lives of so many.
“Go Blue” will forever echo in the hearts of those who knew and loved Diana Faylor.
