Dennis Lee Ryan, age 76, of Toledo, OH passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on August 16, 2026. Denny was born to mother, Anna Facer, and father, William Ryan, on September 12, 1949, then later raised by step-father Charles Dyer alongside his mother. Denny attended Libbey High School in Toledo, OH. He went on to begin working as a manager at local car washes before beginning his career in sales for multiple garage door companies throughout Northwest Ohio and later retiring from Service Spring Corporation in 2020. On February 23, 1985 Denny married the love of his life Barbara “his Barbie” where they joined their blended families, raising children Darla (Mike) Cosgrove, Tara (Kent) Howard, Colleen (Ryan) Jeffries, Joanna Worley (Eddy), Shane Ryan (Evelyn), Elizabeth (Ben) Snyder and Katie Miller. Together they share 15 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren, along with 6 nephews and his dearest cousin Karen Siravo, who he considered a bonus sister. Denny was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers Michael and Doug Dyer, his sister Marlo Carden, grandson Jordan Worley and great-grandson Juan Selvera Jr. He also had the biggest heart for man’s best friend, his dog Holly.
Denny was an avid casino goer and die-hard Cleveland Browns fan. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather and thoroughly enjoyed any excuse to get the family together. Denny also enjoyed being the “shotgun rider” on his and Barb’s spontaneous road adventures due to the loss of his vision in 2021. Before he lost his vision, Denny enjoyed drawing and tinkering in his workshop. Denny will be missed by all that knew and loved him.
