Dennis Lee Miller

Dennis Lee Miller, born on August 10, 1949, in Toledo, Ohio, passed away peacefully on November 27, 2025, at The Toledo Hospital. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend whose warmth, kindness, and dedication will be profoundly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

For 36 years, Dennis dedicated his professional life as a Biomedical Technician at The Toledo Hospital, where he earned the respect and admiration of his colleagues and the patients he served. His commitment to excellence in his work reflected his deeply valued family principles and his unwavering faith, which played a significant role in his life. He was a devoted member of Maumee Community Church, where he nurtured his spiritual growth and fostered connections with his community.

Throughout his life, Dennis proudly served his country in the US Air Force during the Vietnam War, a period that defined much of his character and instilled in him a sense of duty and honor. His service, like his life, was marked by dedication and resilience.

Dennis enjoyed a variety of hobbies that showcased his hands-on skills and love of machinery. He spent his time remodeling, working as a mechanic, and passionately restoring cars, which brought him joy and a sense of accomplishment. He loved traveling with his family and visiting all 50 states, as well as experiencing the cultures of 27 countries around the world. Taking cruises was a particular highlight for him, creating cherished memories with loved ones.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Joyce Miller; sons, Steven (Michelle) Miller and Todd (Rebecca) Miller; grandchildren, Sara, Nathan, and Megan Miller; and his sister, Joyce Ann (Tom) Henley. Each of them carries forward the legacy of love and compassion that Dennis imparted during his life. He was preceded in death by his parents, Leland and Arlene Miller, who shaped the values he carried throughout his life.

The family invites friends and loved ones to pay their respects at the visitation on Wednesday, December 3, 2025, from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM, and to celebrate Dennis’s life at the funeral service on Thursday, December 4, 2025, at 10:00 AM, both taking place at Newcomer Funeral Home, Southwest Toledo, located at 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd, Toledo, OH 43614. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made in Dennis' name to Maumee Community Church, 2214 Tedrow, Toledo, Ohio 43614 or to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. A special thank you to the doctors, nurses, and staff at The Toledo Hospital Cardiac ICU for their care and compassion.

Dennis Lee Miller's life was a testament to love, service, and devotion, leaving a lasting impression on all who were fortunate to share in it. His legacy will endure in the hearts of those who knew him.
