Denise M. Jacoby

Denise M. Jacoby, 70 of Maumee, Ohio, passed away at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Toledo on Monday, July 14, 2025. Denise was the daughter of August Jacoby and Mary (Simko) Jacoby (both deceased). For 38 years she was the loving wife of Robert G. Jacksy, Jr.

Denise was the proud mother of Amelia Jacksy with whom she shared the love of horses and all animals. She and her family enjoyed traveling together from visiting the old growth forests of the Pacific Northwest to watching the great whales in the Atlantic Ocean.

She was a graduate of dental hygiene from Owens College and earned a B.S. in public health from The University of Toledo. She worked for the State of Ohio Department of Public Health until her retirement.

Denise was passionate about quilting, knitting, gardening and raising monarch butterflies which she released into the wild. She never missed a friend’s or family members’ birthday or a family gathering.

Denise requested that any memorial donations be given to The Nature Conservancy, Kitty Todd Preserve, 10420 Old State Line Rd, Swanton, Ohio 43558.
