Delois (Lois) A. Johnson-Coogler, age 64, of Toledo, departed this life on Thursday, February 1, 2024. She was born August 17, 1959 to Lee and Florida (Lanangan) Johnson.
Lois professed her life to Christ at an early age. She graduated from Bowsher High School in 1977 and later worked for Cordelia Martin for 14 years, where she enjoyed helping others.
In 1995, Lois was united in holy matrimony to her best friend, Timothy Coogler.
Lois had a loving personality and her smile would light up any room. She loved having "family functions" at her home and enjoyed taking care of her grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Lois was proceeded in death by both her parents Lee and Florida Johnson, her husband, Timothy Coogler and her sister Renee Johnson-Boyd.
She leaves to cherish her memory is her son: Lamar Johnson; brother: Lee Johnson Jr.; sisters: Malinda (Ronald) Johnson, Yvonne (Warren) Johnson, Tena (Alonzo) Morales, Darlene (Davis) Booth, Latanzia (William) Rose; in-laws: Jacquelyn Coogler, Charles (Lillian) Coogler, Ronnie Coogler, Lavivian (William) Gason, Francine (Henry) Boyd and Fredrick (Sherry) Coogler; grandchildren: Shaniqua, Lamar Jr., Jonathan, Richard, Jamar, August, and Syrmaria; great-grandchildren: Cairo, god daughter, Ebony Boykins, and a host of other loving relatives, nieces, and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, February 13, 2024 from 10:00 am - 11:00 am at The Refreshing Place, 2500 Nebraska Ave. Funeral Services will begin Tuesday at noon also at the Refreshing Place, Burial will follow at Historic Woodlawn Cemetery, Toledo.
