Delmer "Doc” France, 62, of Toledo, passed away on November 13, 2024 at University of Toledo Medical Center. He was born on November 16, 1961 to Elmer and Beckie (Damron) France at Clintwood, VA. Doc worked as a Truck Driver for many years, traveling all over.
Doc loved going to the casinos and enjoyed watching tv in his spare time. He loved playing with his dogs, one which he affectionately called baby girl, Jill and Junior. Doc was a collector of fine whiskeys and an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan.
Doc is survived by his loving significant other, Lynne Shoup, Children, Shawnee (Matthew) Dimick and Brandon (Shannon McCoy) France, step-children, Jason (Sarah) Draper and Stacy Draper, step-grandchildren, Mackenzie Draper, Kacey Draper, Camryn Draper, Dale Wolfram, and Taylor Wolfram, sisters, Betty Polly, Jenny Mae Taylor, Alberta Kistner, Wilma Stanley, brothers, Clearsy France, and Burl France, and by many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother, Beckie France, father, Elmer France, brothers, Fearl France, Earl France, and Clyde France, sisters, Jimmie Jean Baker, and Fern France.
Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Newcomer Funeral Home, Southwest Chapel, (419-381-1900) Toledo, Ohio.
