Debra Taylor was born October 5, 1959 to George and Lorene Taylor in Toledo, Ohio. She was the second oldest of five children. She attended school in Toledo Public Schools where she graduated from Waite High School and Stautzenberger College, she later had married Harold at work pain. Who later in life passed away. Debra was raised in a Loving Church Home and later gave her life to the Lord in the church, where she was raised and remained in faith community church until the Lord called her home growing up she was loved by families and friends and always welcome them with open arms.
She had a smile that would warm your heart. The love she displayed was unconditional. Debra loved to cook and was known for her potato fish and fried chicken. She became close with her neighbor in her apartment, Miss Kimberly Kynard and her cousin, Jerry who she called "Cuz." Debra worked various jobs growing up in the City of Toledo. She was active in the church choir. She was also known for praying for people no matter where she went. Debra loved the Lord and she let everyone know Debra Lee Taylor went home with the Lord December 17, 2025. Our hearts were not ready so many people will miss the calls, that smile, the genuine love she displayed.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Lorene Taylor and her father, George Taylor, her husband, Harold Edward Payne; her brother, George Taylor, Jr., and her maternal and paternal grandparents.
Debra leaves to cherish her memory and celebrate her home going her five children, Tambria Martin, Fatima Taylor, Ulyanda Taylor and Harold Edward Taylor. She also leaves behind 29 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren; siblings, Nadine Taylor, Danielle Taylor, Dolores Taylor, Aunt Sarah Williams of Victorville, California, Aunt Mary Turner of Oakland, California and Aunt Brenda Hairston of Toledo, Ohio; a host of nieces, nephews and cousins, family and friends, we know you will be waiting for us at the gates of Heaven until we meet again.
The family will receive guests Friday, January 9, 2026 from 12:00 p.m. until the time of the Funeral Service at 2:00 p.m. at Newcomer SW Chapel 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd., Toledo (419-381-1900).
