Listen to Obituary

Dawn Cutcher Spychalski, born on August 12, 1965, in Toledo, Ohio, to Amiel and Donna (Henneman) Cutcher, passed away on October 3, 2026, at the age of 61.

Dawn was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, daughter, and sister whose heart of gold touched the lives of everyone fortunate enough to know her. She was kind, caring, selfless, and comforting, always finding ways to make the people she loved feel special. Her family was her world, and the love she gave so freely will forever live on in their hearts.

Dawn was a hardworking woman who spent many years working as a waitress at Pizza Hut before moving on to her most recent position as a sales representative at UMG. She had a natural talent for selling and could charm just about anyone. As her family would say, she could sell an ice cube to an Eskimo! Her personality, determination, and gift for connecting with people made her truly one of a kind.

Dawn found happiness in the simple pleasures of life. She loved candles, cozy socks, good food, binge-watching her favorite shows on Netflix and YouTube TV, and spending hours shopping for the best clearance deals. She knew how to enjoy the little things and had a special way of making ordinary moments feel meaningful.

Above all else, Dawn cherished her family. Spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren brought her the greatest joy. Family was everything to her, and she showed her love in countless ways, especially through the comfort and warmth she brought to those around her.

One of the many ways Dawn will be remembered is through her incredible cooking. Every dish she made was phenomenal, but her tamales were truly legendary! Her food was more than just a meal; it was an expression of her love, a way of bringing everyone together, and a memory her family will carry with them for years to come. The taste of her cooking, the comfort of her presence, and the love she poured into everything she did will never be forgotten.

Dawn will be remembered for her generous spirit, her caring heart, her comforting nature, and the selflessness she showed to those around her. She had a way of making people feel cared for, whether through a kind word, a home-cooked meal, or simply being there when someone needed her. Her love was genuine, her heart was golden, and her presence was a gift to her family.

Dawn leaves behind her beloved daughters, Melissa Ruiz, Emily Cutcher, and Lindsey Spychalski; her cherished grandchildren, Mariana Olguin, Max Lawrence, Mila Villanueva, Milo Spychalski, and Miley Striggow; and her precious great-grandchildren, Araceli Lopez and Nayeli Lopez. She is also survived by her loving mother, Donna Cutcher, and her sister, Darla Fuller, along with other family members and loved ones who will forever hold her close in their hearts.

She was preceded in death by her father, Amiel Cutcher, and her beloved grandmother, Margaret Henneman.

Though Dawn's passing leaves an unimaginable emptiness in the hearts of those who loved her, the memories she created, the laughter she shared, the meals she prepared, and the love she gave will remain forever. Her family will carry her with them in the little things she loved, in the laughter shared around the table, in the comfort of being together, and in every memory that brings a smile through the tears.

Dawn's life was a reminder that the greatest gifts are often the simplest: love, family, kindness, and time spent together. Her legacy will live on through the children she raised, the generations she loved, the traditions she created, and the countless memories that will forever be treasured.
