Dawn M. Heilman

Dawn M. Heilman, born on September 29, 1959, in Toledo, Ohio, passed away peacefully on September 25, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. She was a dedicated owner/operator of Frigid Units, where applied her entrepreneurial spirit and determination to build a successful business.

Dawn’s life was a testament to her unwavering love for her family. She created countless cherished memories, especially with her grandchildren, as they were the lights of her life. Whether attending their activities, cheering them on, or spending quality time together, Dawn was always present, embodying the essence of a devoted grandmother.

Dawn enjoyed an active social life and traveling, known for her warm spirit and nurturing personality. Dawn's love for her family extended beyond her immediate household; she fostered close connections with a wide circle of extended family and friends.

She is survived by her son Mark Heilman II and wife Ashley, daughter Genah Babcock and significant other Eric Hughes, son James Heilman and wife Katelyn, and daughter Kaitlin Bridget and husband Marcus. Dawn took great joy in her grandchildren, Noah Heilman, Madeline Heilman, Luke Heilman, and Cambry Bridget, who will carry forward her legacy of love and warmth.

Dawn is preceded in death by her beloved husband Mark Heilman, who passed away in 2021 after over 42 years of marriage, a partnership filled with love and laughter.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate Dawn’s life on October 4, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Toledo Elks Lodge, located at 3520 N Holland Sylvania Rd, Toledo, OH 43615. This event will be an opportunity to honor the remarkable life she lived and the impact she had on all who knew her.

Dawn M. Heilman will be deeply missed, yet fondly remembered for her devotion to her family and the joy she brought into their lives.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Ronald McDonald House of Toledo, St. Jude Children's Hospital or Hospice of NW Ohio in Dawn's memory.
