Dawn M. Dennis

Dawn M. Dennis, born on June 19, 1961, in Toledo, Ohio, passed away peacefully on November 16, 2025. She leaves behind a legacy filled with warmth, love, and cherished memories that will be celebrated by her family, friends, and all who were fortunate enough to know her.

With a remarkable career spanning 42 years at Columbia Gas of Ohio, Dawn demonstrated an unwavering commitment and dedication to her work. Her colleagues admired not only her professionalism but also the sincerity and humor she brought to her interactions.

Dawn's love for flowers was deeply rooted in her childhood, nurtured by her parents, Judith and Donald Dennis Sr., who owned the Dennis Greenhouse. This passion blossomed into a lifelong interest in gardening, where she found joy in nurturing both plants and friendships. Her green thumb was a testament to her nurturing spirit; she had an innate talent for bringing beauty into the lives of those around her.

A true fashionista, Dawn enjoyed expressing her vibrant personality through her style, and her warm smile could light up any room. Known for her sociable nature, she cultivated many friendships, and her humor often left others in stitches. Dawn adored animals, especially her beloved cats and Yorkshire Terriers, who brought additional joy to her life.

Dawn is survived by her loving daughter, Rebecca Flynn; her brother, Donald Dennis Jr.; her sisters, Kelly Dennis and Beth (David Bodner) Dennis; and her nephew, Zachary Dennis. Together, they will carry forward her spirit and the many wonderful traits that defined her life.

A memorial mass will be held in her honor on November 22, 2025, at 10:00 AM, at St. Patrick of Heatherdowns Church, located at 4201 Heatherdowns Blvd, Toledo, Ohio, 43614. The service will be a celebration of Dawn's life, filled with the love and laughter she so generously shared. Fellowship will be announced after the mass where family and friends can gather to continue celebrating Dawn's life. In lieu of flowers memorial donations in Dawn's name may be made to Paws and Whiskers Cat Shelter, 32 Hillwyck Dr. Toledo, Ohio. 

Dawn M. Dennis will be remembered for her myriad contributions to her family, her community, and the countless hearts she touched during her journey. Her presence will be profoundly missed, yet her spirit will continue to inspire those who knew and loved her.
