David Spencer Williams, born on August 6, 1984, in Toledo, Ohio, to the proud parents of Albert Lee Sr. and Lynette Williams, he left this world unexpectedly on January 24, 2026. His passing is deeply mourned by those who had the privilege of knowing him, as he was a devoted father, a loving brother, and a loyal friend.
David was raised in Swanton with Lerrell, Shauntea, Patrick and Quintin. He started his education within the Toledo Public Schools and continued it with Swanton High School. David was a man of many talents, a true jack of all trades. He possessed the remarkable ability to put together a car, undertake home remodeling projects, and, above all, he found joy in landscaping. His dedication to his craft was evident not only in the quality of his work but also in the passion he infused into every task.
Above all, David cherished his family. He found immense joy in the prospect of becoming a grandfather with the upcoming arrival of his first grandson, Milo Akari Williams-Shupp, due in March 2026. His relationships with his sons—David Williams II, Damien Williams, and Isaiah Williams—and daughters—Leslie Williams (Cody Shupp), Savannah Williams, Angelina Roberts, and Emilee Roberts—were filled with love and pride. David's siblings, including brothers Albert Lee Williams Jr. and Derrick Neal, and sister KaTrina Neal, experienced the warmth of his camaraderie and support throughout their lives. He held a special bond with his step-mom, Beth Roberts, Allie Roberts, his aunt and uncle Welmer Jr. and Michelle Medley and was a beloved figure to many other aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. He cherished his relationship with Cassondra Kennedy.
David's faith was an integral part of his life. He was baptized as a teenager at New Hope Baptist Church in Toledo, and he expressed a desire to reconnect with his spirituality by attending Second Baptist Church with his uncle. This commitment to his beliefs underscored his character, illustrating his search for meaning and community.
Though David faced challenges and had his shortcomings like everyone else, his love for his family and friends was unwavering. He was loved by many and will be remembered for his generosity, kindness, and infectious spirit.
David is reunited in spirit with those who departed before him, including his parents, 4 sisters, grandparents, aunts, uncles, and his best friend, Victoria Creps.
His memory will be honored with visitation on February 6, 2026, starting at 11:00 AM, followed by a funeral service from 12:00 PM, at Newcomer Funeral Home, Southwest Toledo, located at 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd, Toledo, OH 43614.
