David E. Liming, born on August 21, 1958, in Portsmouth, Ohio, passed away on October 24, 2025, in Toledo, Ohio.
David began his career in automotive repair, an area that exemplified not only his skill but also his deep-seated passion for automobiles. Much of his career was spent in quality control, where he played a crucial role in resolving performance issues, demonstrating his commitment to excellence. His love for cars, especially Ford and Pontiac, was reflected in his extensive collection and his enjoyment of exploring junkyards for hard-to-find parts and antique items.
A man of few words, David was described as very reserved and quiet, yet he held strong opinions on topics he was passionate about. Within his close circle, he brought levity with his sense of humor, often finding ways to make both himself and others laugh.
David shared a bond with his beloved wife, Patricia Liming, with whom he celebrated 43 years of marriage. Together, they cherished half the year enjoying the sun and water in Florida, creating memories at the beach. David's leaves behind his children: Nicole Grohe and her husband Derrick, Maria Liming and her husband Alejandro Garcia, and Aubrey Liming. His grandchildren, Braedan Grohe, Carter Grohe, and Mila Liming, were lights in his life, and he showed his love for them in his own unique ways.
He leaves behind his loving family, including his brother Kenneth Liming and his wife Kristeen Rosenbusch, sister-in-law Carmen Cousino, brother-in-law James Loo, sister-in-law Vicky Calkins Syrja and her husband Keith Syrja, brother-in-law Butch Loo and his wife Cathy, and brother-in-law Eugene Loo. David was also surrounded by a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members, and close friends, all of whom will remember him fondly.
David was preceded in death by his parents, Marion Liming and Ethel Liming, and his sister, Linda Turk.
