David Lee Gatter

David Lee Gatter, age 61, of Toledo, Ohio, passed away May 1, 2024, in the comfort of his home. David was born June 28, 1962, in Toledo, Ohio, to the late Charles and Dorothy (Ellis) Gatter.

David graduated from Start High School. He worked at Andersons, where he retired after a long and dedicated 30 years. David loved having a good time; in the earlier years, there were always pool parties and BBQ's at the house. He was a jack of all trades and would help anyone in need. David would help with building decks, mowing grass, and painting. He liked listening to country music and watching NASCAR, especially Hendrick motorsports.

Those left to forever cherish his memory are his siblings, Gary (Kathy) Gatter, Larry (Kim) Gatter, and Karen (Richard) Batema; son, John Gatter Sr. and grandson, John Gatter Jr., as well as his best friend for many years, Dan and Beth Miller; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, David was preceded in death by an infant brother, Daryl Gatter.

Family and friends may visit at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 West Laskey Road, Toledo, Ohio 43623, on Friday, May 10, 2024, from 10:00 am until the time of the funeral service at 1:30 pm. Following services, David will be laid to rest at Ottawa Hills Memorial Park.
