David E. Flick, a beloved member of the Toledo community, passed away on December 29, 2025, in Toledo, Ohio. He was born on June 18, 1938, in Toledo and dedicated over 30 years to his career in Maintenance Repair at the University of Toledo.
David's academic journey began at St. Thomas High School in Ann Arbor, MI, from which he graduated in 1957. He continued his education at The University of Toledo, where he earned a bachelor's degree in Electronic Technology in 1974.
In addition to his professional accomplishments, David proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy from 1965 to 1969. His military service was a testament to his character and commitment to serving others.
David was known for his quiet demeanor and kind, generous spirit. He was mild-mannered and always approached life with grace. His love for Jazz music and reading reflected his deeply cultured interests, which he shared with his loved ones and friends.
Throughout his life, David took pride in several significant accomplishments. Alongside his loving wife of 52 years, Sandy Flick, he provided assistance to the Amish community when they came to Toledo for health reasons. He was an active member of the Good Bears of the World and contributed to book sales at the Sanger Branch Library. Additionally, both David and Sandy volunteered with the Muscular Dystrophy Telethon for many years, embodying their commitment to community service and support.
David E. Flick leaves behind a legacy of kindness and dedication that will be fondly remembered by all who knew him.
Per David's request, there will be no services. Private Burial will take place at Toledo Memorial Park. Friends are encouraged to make donations on behalf of David to the animal shelter of your choice, St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, or to your charity of choice.
