David Michael Devine, affectionately known as Dave, transitioned from this life on February 26, 2026, in Toledo, Ohio, where he was born on May 7, 1984. He was a beloved son, brother, uncle, and friend whose presence touched the hearts of many.

David dedicated his career to the art of automobile painting, proudly working at the Stellantis Toledo Machining Plant. His journey in the industry began at Custom Deco Inc, where he honed his skills and developed a keen eye for detail. David's work was a reflection of his commitment to excellence and passion for craftsmanship.

A graduate of St. Clement Catholic Elementary School and Central Catholic High School, class of 2002, David's educational journey laid the foundation for the vibrant person he became. He was known for his sense of humor, often sharing a good joke that would light up the room and elicit laughter from all around him. His playful spirit made him a favorite amongst children, as he had a unique knack for entertaining babies, bringing joy and warmth wherever he went.

David had a deep love for animals, forming a special bond with Shawn's dog, who seemed to understand his voice. This connection showcased David's gentle nature and love for life's simple pleasures. He reveled in the company of friends and family, often gathering around a pool table or enjoying delicious chicken wings while cheering on his beloved Ohio State Buckeyes.

His proudest accomplishment was the immense love he had for his mother and father, Susan and Michael Devine. The bond they shared was unbreakable, filled with mutual respect and admiration. David leaves behind a loving family, including his mother, Susan Devine; sister, Michelle Devine and her husband, Brian; aunts, Dolores Wiedmann, Rita Macahy, and Phyllis Berkebile and her husband, Tom; uncle and godfather, Richard Wiedmann; uncle, Larry Devine; and a host of cousins and extended family members and friends who will cherish his memory.

David is reunited in eternal rest with his father, Michael Devine, who preceded him in death in 1997, along with his grandparents Bud and Pauline Feasel and Phillip and Leona Devine, his godmother and aunt Wilma Unterbrink, aunt Barbara Feasel, and cousin Laurie Recker. Their spirits keep watch over him, embracing him in love.

David's memory will be honored during visitation at the Newcomer Funeral Home in Northwest Toledo on March 5, 2026, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM.
