David L. Blowers

Dave Blowers, 76, of Toledo, Ohio, passed away peacefully surrounded by loving family on December 16, 2023. Born on January 16, 1947 to Stella and Charles Blowers in Tyrone, Pennsylvania, Dave was a loving and generous Husband, Father, Grandfather, Uncle, Brother, and friend.

Dave was a proud Vietnam Veteran, who served with distinction in the US Army and was awarded the purple heart medal. Dave worked as a Deputy for the Lucas County Sheriff's Department, retiring in 2006. He enjoyed hunting in Pennsylvania, fishing, guns, and watching the Detroit Tigers.

Dave is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Kathleen; Children, Amy Waugh (Brad), Michael, and Ashley Hall (Nick),Grandchildren Evan, Logan, Griffin, and Jonathon; Sister, Jane, Brother Chris (Connie) and Sister-in-law Kim and many nieces and nephews. Dave is also survived by his beloved dogsBayLee and MarLee. David was preceded in death by his parents and Brother, Robert, and nephew Josh.

A Gathering of family and friends will be held Friday, December 22, 2023 from 4-8pm at the Newcomer Funeral Home. 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd., Toledo with military honors beginning at 7:00 PM.
