Danny Lynn Huntley, age 62, was born on June 12, 1962, in Dyersburg, Tennessee, to Fred Ross and Thelma Howard. He was lovingly raised in Toledo, Ohio, by his great aunt and uncle, Charles and Thelma Mae Huntley.
Danny attended Gunkel "Duk Mo College" for grammar school and graduated from Edward Drummond Libbey High School. After graduation, he joined the Job Corps and later proudly served his country in the United States Army, where he received an honorable discharge.

In addition to his law enforcement career, Danny worked security for several organizations and businesses, including The Worship Center, Nexus Healthcare, Toledo Urban Federal Credit Union, and Agenda Bar & Grille- just to name a few.
Danny was known for his calm presence, kind heart, and quiet humor. He loved scary movies, driving his Ford automobiles, fishing, pound cake, jazz music, and watching classic shows like The Andy Griffith Show, Gunsmoke, Bonanza, and old black-and-white movies. Though a man of few words, Danny had a gift for giving people nicknames and making everyone around him feel special. He was always willing to help others and was sure to bring a smile or a laugh when needed.
Danny was preceded in death by his father, Fred Ross; his beloved parents, Charles and Thelma Mae Huntley; and his baby sister, Sherry.
He leaves to cherish his memory his mother, Thelma J.; brother, Kevin; aunt, Joyce; nieces and nephews; the Huntley and Howard families; godson, Cameron Walker; special friends Stacy F., Priscillia (Gumocko), Julius (Weda), Robbie G., Markie, Deputy Sheriff Robert Campbell, Ret. Deputy Sheriff Michael Gaston, Ret. Deputy Sheriff Clyde Martinez, his Lucas County Correctional Center family and a host of other relatives and friends.
