Daniel Mark Wright

Daniel Wright, 67, of Toledo, Ohio passed away peacefully on September 22, 2026, surrounded by his loved ones.

Daniel was a devoted father, grandfather, brother, and friend who will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. He was known for his kind heart, generous spirit, and willingness to help anyone in need. Daniel was the kind of person who would give you his last dollar if he thought you needed it. His genuine kindness and caring nature touched countless lives.

For 25 years, Daniel proudly owned and operated his own painting company, Painting Done Wright. Through his work, he built lasting relationships and became known not only for his craftsmanship, but for the person he was—honest, dependable, and always willing to lend a helping hand.

Daniel enjoyed the simple things in life, especially spending time with the people he loved. He was a proud Ohio State fan and could often be found cheering on the Buckeyes. He also loved to play poker, enjoying the competition, laughter, and time spent around the table with others.

Daniel’s greatest joy was his family. He is survived by his children, Jason (Allison) Wright and Brittney (Jeffrey) Merritt, and his grandchildren, Dawson Cross, Jordan Merritt, Nolan Merritt, Sidney Wright, and Josie Wright, who will forever carry his love and memories with them.

He is also survived by his siblings, Terry Wright, Denise (Charlie) Fox, and Dawn (Ron) Hoobler.

Daniel was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Lester and Shirley Ann Wright, Chuck Wright and Alan Wright.

Daniel leaves behind a legacy of love, generosity, laughter, and kindness. His presence will be deeply missed, but his memory will live on in the hearts of his family, friends, and all those whose lives he touched.

Rest peacefully, Dad. You will never be forgotten.

Family and friends will be received at the Newcomer Funeral Home, (Southwest Chapel) 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd., Toledo on Sunday, September 27. 2026 from 2:00-5:00PM. A service celebrating Daniel’s life will immediately follow visitation at 5:00PM.
