Daniel Schwartz
June 28, 1939 — July 23, 2023
Raised in Point Place, the son of Arthur and Dorothy Schwartz, and a 1957 graduate of Waite High School. Dan passed away July 23, 2023 while a patient at Northwestern Ohio Hospice-Toledo.
Dan was gifted with the ability to communicate well and make people laugh. As a result, soon after high school he joined the business world, where for years, he worked for large cooperation, such as, Gulf Oil Corp; AP Parts and Champion Spark Plug.
In later life he became a TARTA Bus driver where he drove all 42 routes and received many letters of commendation from passengers for his pleasant demeanor and courteous services.
He was one of Jehovah's Witnesses and strived to walk humbly with his God while showing kindness to all.
Left to cherish his memory are his daughters, Amy (Russ) Ballard, Amanda (Corey) Barba, and Danielle (Ryan) Zimmerman; 9 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; brothers, Gary Schwartz, Jimmy (Joan) Schwartz and a host of family and friends. Preceded in death by his daughter, Kimberly DeCius, and his sister, Susie Mayor..
The family will receive guests Friday, July 28, 2023 from 11:00 am - 3:00 pm at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - SW Chapel, 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd. (419-381-1900). Funeral Services will begin Friday at 3:00 pm at the funeral home. Burial at Ottawa Hills Cemetery will be private.
