Dallas Deborah Wahl, a cherished and steadfast presence in the Toledo community, passed away peacefully on April 15, 2026, in her hometown where she was born on September 7, 1949. Throughout her 76 years, Dallas lived a life marked by strength, independence, and a spirit that was as elegant as it was resolute.
For over two decades, Dallas dedicated herself to operating the beloved Huron Carryout in Toledo, a place where she was not only well-known but deeply loved by many. Her carryout was more than just a business; it was a reflection of her strong will and her deep connection to her community. Dallas was a woman of grace and determination, qualities that endeared her to all who knew her.
Beyond her entrepreneurial endeavors, Dallas was a prayerful soul, devoutly holding close her rosary, which symbolized the faith that guided much of her life. Her quiet moments of prayer revealed a deeply spiritual backbone that supported her through life's journeys. She was also a woman of hobbies and simple joys—enjoying time spent on Facebook, relishing games of Monopoly, tending to the virtual realms of Farmsville, and showcasing her skill and patience through knitting.
Family was Dallas's greatest pride and accomplishment. She leaves behind her loving son Wayne and his wife Christina, who together have been a source of joy and comfort. Dallas was also a devoted grandmother to Amber, Lilly, and Wayne, and a cherished great-grandmother to Aaron, Joshua, Noraa, Luna, and Lillyanna. Surviving sisters Susan Cassis and Gail Wahl stand alongside her family, as do many nieces, nephews, and cousins who carry forward her legacy of love and strength.
Dallas's life was also touched by the memories of loved ones who have passed before her, including her husband, David L., her parents, Dallas and Mariann Wahl, and her sister Phylis Driver. Their memories live on, interwoven with hers in the hearts of her family and friends.
In all things, Dallas Deborah Wahl was a woman who embodied resilience and devotion. Her memory will remain a beacon of warmth and strength, a testament to a life well-lived and deeply loved. Those who knew her will forever hold dear the fancy, strong-willed, and independent woman who cared so deeply for her faith, her family, and the community she so warmly served.
