Craig Vance, age 70, passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 1, 2024 at home with loving family by his side. We are celebrating the man who never met a stranger, the heart of the St. Patty's Day trolley alongside "sister" Judy Stone Gaynor. A staple at MIS speedway, a loyal Buckeye fan, he loved his Jeep, his trips up north at the cabin and his fishing trips with the guys. Craig made his presence known in every room he entered and a joke was always readily available (appropriate or not). Craig was one of the lucky few who was able to turn his passion into his business and enjoyed working in the Old West End as a professional painter and contractor.
He met his partner for life, Darla Ritchie and shared over 30 years together. Craig leaves behind his children, Morgan (Stephen) Was, Jared (Danyel) Vance, Adam (Lindsay) Vance, and Jeremy (Jennifer) Vance; brothers, Terry (Kelly) Vance, and Chip (Diann) Vance; Bonus family, Michelle (Shawn) Carver, Melissa (Lorenz) Voss, Mindy, Marci and Meridith; and the Moyer Family; 19 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren and 9 nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by his parents Norman and Mary (Taylor) Vance.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, February 16, 2024 from 4:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. at Tremainsville Hall, 2437 Tremainsville Rd., Toledo, OH 43613 with a Memorial Service at 5:00 p.m.
