Clarence A. Goudeau (Jr.)

Clarence received eternal rest and peace on Monday, April 27, 2026, with his daughters at his bedside. Clarence Goudeau was born in Gary, Indiana on May 13, 1944, to Joseph and Mary Goudeau. He was raised in Toledo, Ohio where he resided most of his life and retired.

Clarence proudly served his country in the United States Army. Following his service, he worked for the Chicago railroad for several years before returning to Toledo. He also established a career at Owens-Illinois, where he served as supervisor in shipping and receiving for many years.

Clarence deeply treasured his family and his small circle of close friends. He had a presence that was naturally engaging to people. His big, beautiful smile, infectious laughter, and undeniable charisma made him well liked by many.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his children: Sharlene Bowen, Theresa Bowen, Rolonda (David) Key, Patrice (Alan) Harthorne, Ranina Reasonover, Tamica Banks-Ford (Eugene), Gina Banks-Gilmore, Macee Goudeau and Lakeshea (Chris) Perdue. His grandchildren: Shalandra Bowen, Trenton Collier, Tia Coleman, Michael Greely II, Acacia Baucom, Isaiah Harthorne, Brittany Streeter, Eugene Ford, Jr., Mychael Gilmore, Mychelle Gilmore, Mytchell Gilmore, and Myles Gilmore; 31 loving great-grandchildren; along with a host of nieces and nephews.

He is survived by his beloved sister, Rosemary Goudeau.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Alfred (Sonny) Goudeau; his father, Joseph C. Goudeau; his mother, Mary F. Hills; and grandchild, Cori Key.

A memorial service will be held at the People's M.B. Church located at 1101 Heston Street, Toledo, Ohio 43607 on Saturday, May 16, 2026 at 11:00 A.M. Clarence (Jr.) will be deeply missed and forever loved and remembered.
