It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Christopher Doyle Majewski, fondly known as Chris, who left us on January 16, 2026, at the age of 65 in Toledo, Ohio. Born on February 13, 1960, in Toledo, Chris was a beloved member of the community and an indelible presence in the lives of all who knew him.
Chris was a proud graduate of Northview High School, class of 1978. Throughout his life, he dedicated himself to the culinary arts, working at many restaurants, including the Spaghetti Warehouse, Joey's Supper Club, and Mancy's Steakhouse. His love for food was matched only by his commitment to his work in lawn care, where he enjoyed cutting grass for countless individuals over the years, bringing smiles to their faces along with a beautifully manicured lawn.
A man endowed with an easy-going spirit, Chris was known for his ever-present smile and his incredible storytelling abilities. His talent for dancing and singing brought joy to family gatherings and celebrations alike. Those who were fortunate enough to know him can attest to his positive outlook on life—Chris never took things too seriously, and his childlike wonder warmed the hearts of many. He was a devoted family man, always prioritizing the time spent with his loved ones. Memories of family reunions, holidays, and the simple joy of being together will forever be cherished by those left behind.
Chris held strong faith in God, exemplified through his involvement with both St. Joseph Catholic Church and First Baptist Church, where he found community and connection. He was also a proud member of his father’s Eagles VFW and American Legion Post, embodying the spirit of camaraderie and service.
In his leisure time, Chris found happiness in a range of interests. He was a passionate angler, relishing every quiet moment spent fishing while enjoying a cold beverage. Karaoke nights filled with country music were a staple in his life, and his love for polka dancing resonated with the rhythm of his Polish heritage—he knew how to live life to its fullest. When it came to culinary delights, nothing could compare with the joy he felt when savoring perogies and kielbasa.
Above all, Chris took pride in being a loving father to his four amazing daughters: Nicole (Josh) Schonter, Leslie Majewski, Jessica Majewski, and Jacklynn Majewski. He adored his grandchildren—Emily Bussell, Brayden Schonter, Macie Herbster, Tyler Schonter, Brody, Grayson, Nora Wells, and Jackson Thor—who brought light to his life and were a constant reminder of the love he shared within his family.
Chris is survived by his cherished children and grandchildren, as well as his brothers, Richard Majewski, Vincent (Bethany) Majewski, and Michael (Rochelle) Majewski; his sister, Kelly (Michael) Edgar; and many beloved nieces and nephews, family members, and friends who will miss him deeply.
He is preceded in death by the mother of his children, Carol Ann Morin; his parents, Joan and James Majewski; his grandparents, Adam and Anna Majewski; and his parents-in-law, William and Wava Yeager.
As we gather to remember Chris, we celebrate a life that was truly well-lived. His laughter echoes in our hearts, his stories will continue to be told, and the love he shared will forever be alive in the memories we hold dear. Chris Majewski was not just a storyteller; he was a light in our lives, a boundless spirit of joy, and a cherished friend. We will carry his legacy of warmth, positivity, and family devotion with us always.
