Christopher James Eckel

Christopher James Eckel, age 72, of Toledo, Ohio, passed away on Saturday, February 17, 2024, at Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
He was born May 2, 1951, to John and Florence (Haas) Eckel in Toledo, Ohio. Chris graduated from Rossford High School in 1969. Chris was an retired Army veteran who served in Vietnam.
Left to cherish his memory are his siblings, Maurice (Edna), Terry, Doug (Sandy), Deb (Jim) Mercurio, Ted (Judy), Stan (Pam), Max (Luann), Marcia Neagley and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother-in-law, John Neagley; and sister-in-law, Louise Eckel.
A special thank you to the nurses, social workers, and caregivers at Hospice of Northwest of Ohio.
The family will receive guests on Friday, February 23, 2024 from 4:00 pm until 6:00 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home - Southwest Chapel, 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd, Toledo, where Military Honors will begin at 5:45 pm.
