Listen to Obituary

Christopher Raymond Brinkman, affectionately known as Chris, was born on April 11, 1979, in Fairbanks, Alaska. He left this world on December 1, 2025, surrounded by the love he so deeply cherished, leaving behind a legacy of laughter, commitment, and the utmost devotion to his family. Chris was a proud steel worker for MTS, a job that reflected his strong work ethic and dedication to his craft.

Chris was a man who wore many hats, not the least of which was that of a loving husband to his beloved wife, Sarah Brinkman. Together, they cultivated a warm and nurturing environment for their children: Teya, Davonte, and Izayah Brinkman. A family-oriented individual, Chris took immense pride in his children, often expressing how his journey as a father was the most rewarding experience of his life.

Chris was a lifelong football enthusiast, cheering passionately for the Detroit Lions and the University of Michigan. His love for the sport was infectious, and he often brought joy and entertainment to gamedays by breaking into song and keeping spirits high, whether in his home or while spending time with friends and family. Chris possessed a unique personality that made him both a clown and a sage; he was always able to lighten the mood and offer valuable advice. Known for his caring nature and being a good listener, many sought his counsel and appreciated his infectious laughter.

He also had a special bond with his niece and nephew, Rachael and Steve Williams, as he considered them part of his extended family. Chris cherished his great-nieces and nephews, Joshua, Kay, Jada, Kat, Thomas, and Kiley, showering them with affection and guidance in the ways only a loving uncle could. His extended family was not limited to his blood relatives; it included his cherished in-laws, Sue and Greg, his brother-in-law Gregory, and his brother-in-law, Marcus (Sarah), along with their daughter Mia. The bonds he formed with Chad (Emma) Good and their three boys, as well as Chris (Kelsey) Clark and their three children, added to the rich tapestry of love and connection that Chris embraced.

Chris took time to engage in joyful activities with his family, such as disc golf outings with Gregory and beloved Dungeons & Dragons campaigns, showcasing his enthusiasm for creating lasting memories and forging deeper connections with those around him. Chris's genuine spirit was felt by all who had the pleasure of knowing him; he brightened lives and left indelible impressions on the hearts of so many.

Though Chris is mourned deeply, he is reunited in spirit with his loved ones who have passed before him: his sister, Cheryl Aguilar; his mother, Linda Brinkman; his brother, James Brinkman; his grandparents, Grandma and Grandpa Lucas; and his father-in-law, David Hunt. Their spirits surely welcome him with open arms.

As we gather to honor and celebrate the life of Christopher Raymond Brinkman, let us remember him for the immense joy he brought into our lives and the many ways he touched the hearts of all who had the privilege to know him.
