Christine M. Tucker of Maumee, Ohio passed away on Monday, August 3rd, 2026, at the Straub Benioff Medical Center in Honolulu Hawaii. Our family lost not only a wife, mother, daughter and sister, but a best friend. She was born in Toledo, Ohio on April 23rd, 1975, to David and Barbara (Zeisloft) Benadum.
From a very young age Christine always knew she wanted to be nurse. She was a 1993 graduate of Springfield High School where she lettered in volleyball and track. In 1996 she graduated from Mercy School of Nursing as a Registered Nurse. Upon graduation she started her career in long term care at Harborside Healthcare of Swanton, a field she remained in for her entire career. She held numerous positions over her years in nursing from charge nurse to unit manager to assistant director of nursing, but her true passion was taking care of her patients suffering from dementia. She was truly a one of a kind nurse.
A perfect day for Christine was spending the day golfing followed by visiting one of her favorite local restaurants and breweries. She loved traveling and going on her annual girl’s trips with her family. She was an avid Michigan Wolverine and Detroit Tigers fan. But what she loved most of all was following her children’s lives. From Nick’s high school track meets and football games to his career in United States Navy and Abby’s volleyball games and winter guard competitions to her career in education teaching abroad. She took great pride in her children and following their journey became her favorite pastime.
Surviving is her husband, Todd; son, Nicholas; daughter, Abigail; mother, Barbara; sister, Paula (Chris) Forrey; numerous nieces and nephews and dog Penny and cat Gigi. She was preceded in death by her father David Benadum and her cat, Zazz.
Services for Christine will be private.
