Christine Marie Laberdee

Christine Marie Laberdee, affectionately known as Chris, passed away peacefully on April 24, 2026, at Hospice of Northwest Ohio. Born Christine Marie Basinger on December 7, 1957, in Toledo, Ohio.

Chris’ loved the simple pleasures that she cherished deeply. She had an infectious enthusiasm for gambling, finding delight in casino visits and the thrill of lottery tickets. She had a keen eye for bargains and found great enjoyment in shopping, always eager to discover the next good deal. Known for her meticulous nature, Chris took particular pride in keeping her car spotless, reflecting her love for cleanliness and order.

She had a fondness for country music and classic rock that often filled her days. Chris enjoyed boating and camping with her husband, especially when she was younger.

Chris is survived by her loving sisters, Sueann Basinger and Jennifer Basinger, her brother Ralph Basinger and his wife Pat, and her nephew Andrew Basinger. Alongside the family, her cherished cat Black Jack remains a loyal companion. She was preceded in death by her devoted parents, Ralph and Elizabeth Basinger, her husband Bruce Laberdee, and nephew Matthew Basinger.

A graveside service to honor Christine’s memory will be held on Friday, May 15, 2026 at 2:30 pm at Toledo Memorial Park located at 6382 Monroe Street, Sylvania, Ohio 43560. Providing a moment for family and friends to gather, reflect, and celebrate the remarkable life she lived.
