Christine Brown

Christine Brown, aged 87, passed away peacefully October 21, 2024 at Manor at Perrysburg, leaving behind a legacy of warmth and kindness. She was born September 22, 1937 in Charleston, MS to Sam and Gennie (Woodard) Robinson. Christine spent many years working at Kelly Homecare Services, where her dedication and compassion touched countless lives. Outside of her work, she was known for her love of cooking, often sharing her delicious meals with family and friends. Christine’s gentle spirit, caring heart, and love for bringing people together around her table will be deeply missed. She leaves behind cherished memories with all who knew her.

In addition to her parents, Christine was also preceded in death by her husband, Melvin Brown, Sr., sister, Marjorie Williams, grandson, Kenneth Collins and step-daughter, Albertha L. Ham. She is survived by her children, Gloria (Duane) Davis, Velma (Leo) Thomas, Sharon (David) Flynt, Carolyn Brown-Wilkes, Melvin (Jennifer) Brown, Jr., Michelle (James) Overton, Maria (Spurgeon) Baker and Mary Brown, sister, Myntha Smith; brother, George (Alice) Robinson, and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

The family will receive guests Monday, October 28, 2024 from 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. at Newcomer SW Chapel, 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd. (419-381-1900). Funeral Services will begin Monday at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.
