Listen to Obituary

Christina Rae Lewandowski, age 64, a devoted wife, loving mother and cherished friend, passed away peacefully at her Toledo home on Saturday, November 15, 2025, surrounded by her family’s love. Born in Savannah, Illinois on January 13, 1961, the youngest of six, to Lawrence “Bud” and Arlene (Belander) O’Neal, Christina’s life was a testament to resilience, kindness, and unwavering devotion to those she loved.

After moving with her family to Ohio as a young child, Christina graduated from Calvin M. Woodward High School in 1979 and soon after married her sweetheart, Bryan Lewandowski, on May 31, 1985; a union that blossomed into 40 years of love and partnership. She pursued higher education with determination, earning her Associate Degree in Business Management from Owens Community College, continuing on with studies in the medical field. Christina's strong work ethic shone through in her decades-long career with the K-Mart Retail Company and BP Sohio.

Christina’s passions reflected her vibrant spirit. She delighted in cooking unique recipes, crocheting, painting, reading and writing poetry and short stories in her younger years. Her home was adorned with her beloved cow collection, houseplants and wildflowers such as sunflowers and lavender—symbols of her love and connection to nature and her family. She could always be found reading her latest romance novel on her kindle, watching nature and Bushcraft videos or simply enjoying a serene drive through town. She embraced adventure, traveling across the U.S. and abroad, savoring trips to the Bahamas, Las Vegas, and Florida. Christina always relished spontaneous day trips that broke life’s routine.

Family traditions were the heart of Christina’s world. She infused holidays with joy, waiting until December 12 to decorate the home and Christmas tree in honor of the Twelve Days of Christmas, and creating magical Christmas Eves filled with laughter and anticipation. Birthdays, being one of her favorite events, were celebrated with enthusiasm, starting with favorite breakfasts and ending with whatever brought happiness to the honoree.

Christina’s selflessness, strength, and protective nature made her the cornerstone of her family. She was warm and caring to those she loved and trusted, being a great source of comfort, wisdom and unconditional love. Her life was a beautiful example of love, generosity, and resilience. Her legacy lives on in the traditions she created, the family she cherished, and the countless lives she touched.

She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers Mike, Chuck, Dennis, and Daniel O’Neal. Christina leaves behind her devoted husband, Bryan; daughters, Sarah and Bryanna Lewandowski; sister, Kathy (Ed) Majchszak of Perrysburg and nieces & nephews, Vickie (Christian) Nemecek of Curtis, Ohio, Joe (Deanna) Majchszak of Clearwater, Florida, Angie (Jeff) Stanford of Perrysburg, Becky (Kevin) Howard of Illinois and Mike O'Neal of Illinois who will all carry her memory forward.
