Chester Paul Dolatoski, born January 17, 1942 in Scranton, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully on July 15, 2026, at his home in Maumee, Ohio. He has returned to his Lord and Savior. He devoted more than 40 years to his work as a journeyman Machine Repairman for GM New Departure and later Delphi Neway Parts where he developed many friendships with his coworkers.
Outside of work, Chet was a gifted trumpet player and avid photographer. Always capturing family moments with care which leaves his loved ones a beautiful archive of memories. He and his late wife Diane shared a love of travel, dancing and exploring the cultures of more than 70 countries. He was a dedicated volunteer with the Milan Jaycees, even serving as Chairman for Cystic Fibrosis fundraising.
Chet was preceded in death by his beloved wife Diane, parents, Chester and Mary Dolatoski and sister, Joan Piontek. He is survived by his daughters, Tammy (Larry) Trombley and Wendy Madrzykowski; grandchildren, Richard (Kylie) Cicco, Alexander (Michelle) Trombley, Amber (Joshua) Heldwein, Erik Trombley and Jaymee Rudd; also cherished great-grandchildren, Daelyn Rudd, Vivian Trombley, Elijah, Everly, and Eden Cicco.
A Graveside Service will be held Monday, August 3rd at 1:30 PM at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery in Waterville, Ohio. Family and friends are invited to gather and celebrate the life and legacy of this remarkable man who touched the lives of so many with his sense of humor, kindness, and fun loving spirit.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to The Parkinson's Foundation, Wounded Warrior Project or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
