Listen to Obituary

Cherilyn Elizabeth Berry was ushered into the presence of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on November 4, 2025. Cherilyn died peacefully in her home in Toledo, Ohio at the age of 66 after a long illness.

Cherilyn is survived by her husband, Jack V. Berry Jr.; children, Joel Berry (Kelsey) of Toledo, OH; Sarah Berry of Tipp City, OH; Aaron Berry (Hanna) of Palm Bay, Florida; Samuel Berry (Emilee) of Toledo, OH; Hannah Berry of Naples, Italy and Bethany Berry of Columbus, OH; brothers William (Belva) Miller and Michael (Debbie) Miller and twelve grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, William and Mary Miller.

Cherilyn was born on February 24, 1959, in Milford, CT, to William and Marry Miller. She graduated from Northeastern University in 1981 with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. She married Jack V. Berry, Jr., an architect, in 1984. After moving from Massachusetts to Ohio, Cherilyn worked as a full-time mother and part time nurse at various hospitals and care facilities. Over the next fourteen years, the couple welcomed six children into their home and Cherilyn set about homeschooling them and discipling them in the gospel of Jesus Christ. Her children remember her as a loving, kind, selfless, hardworking mother with a contagious sense of humor, who encouraged her children to pursue a relationship with Jesus Christ.

Cherilyn was accomplished at almost anything she put her mind to. Passionate about God, her family and life, in addition to her nursing profession Cherilyn was active in several churches, raised and homeschooled her six children, ran marathons, wrote two books, painted, gardened, was a beekeeper and a realtor. She was a friend to her husband and children, a selfless individual with a warm engaging personality who loved God and who was passionate about her family.
