Chauncey H. Andress, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away on September 30, 2025, in Temperance, Michigan, at the age of 83. He was born on November 11, 1941, in Toledo, Ohio, to Christian and Glendora Andress, who precede him in death.

Chauncey dedicated over 30 years of his professional life to Doehler - Jarvis, where he served as a Shipping Manager. His unwavering commitment to his work led him to Ohio Specialties, where he applied his expertise as a warehouse manager as well a delivery truck driver for many years. Chauncey's hard work and dedication were evident in all that he accomplished.

A graduate of Scott High School, class of 1959, Chauncey subsequently served in the Marine Corp. from 1962 to 1965, honoring his country with commendable service. Following his military career, he sought further education at Davis Business College, where he obtained an Associate's degree in Business Management, enhancing his skills for his future endeavors.

In his personal life, Chauncey was defined by his outgoing, patient, and fun-loving nature. He wove a rich tapestry of relationships through his generosity and respect for others. Notably, he was married to his devoted wife, Karen Andress, for an incredible 48 years. Together, they created a loving family, which included their daughters, Kelly Andress and Melinda (Ronald) Nash, and thrived through the joy of their children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. His legacy lives on through Michael (Betzi) Roe, David (Brandi) Roe, Alexander (Madalyn) Nash, Aaron Nash, and his adored great-grandchildren: Liem Roe, Carson Roe, Clayton Roe, Lauren Roe, Aayla Roe, and Waylon Nash.

Chauncey's strong sense of community extended beyond his family. He was a devoted Mason for over 50 years. Chauncey was the past president of the craftsman unit within the Shriners. He was also a valued member of the Foresters Fraternal Organization. His involvement in these organizations illustrated his commitment to fellowship and service among his peers.

In his leisure time, Chauncey found great joy in camping, bowling, and indulging in card games. He cherished traveling around the world with Karen, creating a wealth of memories, some of which were made during family gatherings in Florida and North Carolina with his brother, Larry (Jacqueline) Andress, alongside extended family and friends.

Family and friends are invited to gather in remembrance of Chauncey at Newcomer Funeral Home, Northwest Toledo, located at 4150 W Laskey Rd, Toledo, OH 43623. A memorial gathering will be held on October 15, 2025, from 4 PM to 6 PM, followed by a memorial service that will start at 6 PM.

Chauncey H. Andress will be remembered for his strength, kindness, and love. His proudest accomplishments were his cherished family – a legacy that will undoubtedly continue to flourish through the generations.
