Chari Pearl Scribellito, lovingly known as "Nana," departed this world on December 31, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of resilience, love, and cherished memories. Born on December 13, 1962, in Reno, Nevada, Chari embraced life with an unwavering spirit that touched all those fortunate enough to know her.
For over 15 years, Chari dedicated herself to the Milan City Market as a store clerk, where her warm smile and kind words became a staple in the lives of her customers. She retired in 2020, yet her impact continued to resonate long after her departure from the workplace. Chari was more than just a clerk; she was a loving wife, devoted mother, doting grandmother, and a great friend. Each role she took on was filled with an innate generosity that defined her existence.
Chari’s heart was a boundless reservoir of love. She took immense pride in her three boys, Chad, Angelo III, and Stephen Sr., nurturing them with unyielding support and affection. Her relationships with her family extended beautifully into her roles as a grandmother to Caleb, Savanah, Sofia, Stephen Jr., and Siena, and as a great-grandmother to little Hazel. Their lives were enriched by her presence, her laughter, and her exceptional cooking skills—most notably, her world-renowned spaghetti and meatballs, which brought everyone together around the dinner table.
A woman of faith, Chari embodied devotion in every sense. She had a remarkable connection to her community and her church, where she found solace and strength. Her unwavering beliefs gave her peace and guided her through life's many challenges. Chari had an adventurous spirit, relishing moments spent traveling, especially her memorable trip to New York with her son, which fulfilled a cherished bucket list dream. She found joy in the simple pleasures—watching tennis, particularly when cheering for her favorite player, Andre Agassi, or basking in the sun while taking care of her beloved cat, Rocky.
Chari’s personality was imbued with a funny charm that could light up any room, matched only by her infectious laughter. Friends and family alike remember her as a selfless woman who willingly offered love and support to anyone in need. She was a great friend, always ready to listen and share advice, leaving behind countless cherished moments filled with joy and laughter.
Chari is survived by her loving husband and partner of 40 years, Angelo Scribellito, Jr., whose life was deeply intertwined with hers; her sons, Chad, Angelo III (Tara), and Stephen Sr. (Veronica); her brothers, Allen, Tony, and Sean; her grandchildren, Caleb, Savanah, Sofia, Stephen Jr., and Siena; her great-granddaughter, Hazel; and her beloved cat, Rocky.
Chari was preceded in death by her mother, Barbara Woffard, and her father, Alfred Berluti. With her passing, she has left a void in the hearts of those who loved her, yet she cherished a life well-lived and embraced the idea of reuniting with her loved ones in a place beyond.
As we celebrate Chari’s life, we honor the impact she made, the love she shared, and the memories we will carry forward. Her spirit will continue to resonate in our hearts, reminding us to cherish each moment and to live life with the same passion and kindness that she so generously bestowed upon the world.
