Carol H. Frederick, née Thomas, passed away peacefully on March 11, 2026, in Sylvania, Ohio. Born on February 10, 1942, in Huntington Woods, Michigan, she lived a life marked by dedication, compassion, and unwavering commitment to her community.

Throughout her life, Carol demonstrated a profound passion for advocating on behalf of those most in need. Her tireless activism earned her the distinguished "Hero of the Homeless" award from the Michigan State Legislature, recognizing her steadfast support for at-risk and homeless families. Additionally, she was honored with the Special Recognition Award from the Monroe County Board of Commissioners, a testament to over two decades of devoted service on the Monroe County Social Services Board. These accolades symbolize the impact she made and the lives she touched through her compassionate work.
