Carol Ann Digby, beloved daughter, sister, wife, mother, and grandmother, peacefully passed away on May 10, 2025, in Sylvania, Ohio. Born on August 19, 1945, in Toledo, Ohio, she was a cherished member of her community and a constant source of love to her family and friends.
A graduate of Woodward High School, Carol devoted many years of her professional life to being an Administration Assistant at Champion Spark Plug. However, her proudest accomplishment extended far beyond her career; she took immense joy in being a loving wife to her late husband, Milton "Digger" Digby, and a nurturing mother to her sons Brian and Todd, with whom all she shared deep bonds.
Carol was known for her gentle spirit, her caring nature, and her steadfast dedication to her family. She cherished every moment spent with her grandchildren, Mia Lindhurst, Sebastian Lindhurst, and Roksana Lindhurst, whom she adored wholeheartedly. Together, they will remember her warm embrace and her vibrant smile, especially during joyful gatherings that showcased her lively spirit.
An avid gardener, Carol had a special talent for nurturing plants and reaping the rewards of her labor. She was fondly remembered for her unique ability to be the first to pick the ripe tomatoes from her son Brian’s garden each year, a moment that brought her great delight. Her passion for gardening was complemented by her long-standing involvement with her Card Club Gang, a group of friends with whom she shared laughter and camaraderie for over 25 years.
Carol is survived by her sons, Brian (Angela) Lindhurst and Todd (Kasia) Lindhurst; her grandchildren, Mia, Sebastian, and Roksana; her step-son Jeffrey (Lynda) Digby; her step-daughter Kellie (Tom) Sheppard; her honorary children Tracy and Wendy Whittaker, her sister, Karen J. Ashba; her brother, Arnold K. Wyatt; and many other loving family members.
She was predeceased by her husband Milton, her mother Eileen E. Wyatt (nee Richards), her father Arnold Z. Wyatt, and her brother Ronald K. Wyatt.
As we remember Carol, we honor her loving spirit, her devotion to her family, and the countless lives she touched. She leaves behind a legacy of love, a testament to the great impact she made as a dedicated matriarch. Her memory will forever be intertwined with the joy she brought to those fortunate enough to know her.
