Camilya Elizabeth Thomas

Camilya Elizabeth Thomas was born October 11, 1988, in Toledo, Ohio to Vonita M. Brock and William S. Harper. Camilya went to be with the Lord on September 11, 2026. 

Camilya was an honor student graduate of Roy C. Start High School in May 2007.

Camilya attended Hondros College of Nursing to be a Licensed Practice Nurse (LPN). Camilya's employment history includes certified nursing assistant with various home health aide agencies.

Camilya had a passion for caregiving. She enjoyed shopping, traveling, and spending time with her children.

Camilya could walk into any room and lighten the atmosphere with her infectious smile. She always recognized the good in others. 

Camilya was preceded in death by her father, William Harper; grandparents, Doris Austin, Bonita Brock, Lelia Ramey, Donald Saxon, Sr. and Lottie Thomas. Camilya leaves to cherish her memory mother, Vonita Brock; children, Royalty and Romeo Hightower, Amajio, Affinity, and Amatra Davis; siblings, RayShun Mitchell, Tyrell and Phillip Harper, and Paris Lamb; grandmother, Denise Saxon; special aunt, Haddie Harper, and a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, and other family and friends. 

Friends and family are invited to attend the memorial service for Camilya on Saturday, November 7, 2026 at 2:00 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home (4752 Heatherdowns Blvd Toledo, Ohio).
