Bryan E. Burdge Sr.

Bryan E. Burdge, age 64, of Maumee, Ohio, passed away peacefully on February 7, 2026, at Hospice of Northwest Ohio in Toledo. He was born on June 3, 1961, in Elizabethtown, Pennsylvania, to Edward and Eileen (Dunmeyer) Burdge.

Bryan dedicated many years to his career at General Motors. He had a deep appreciation for life’s simple pleasures, including hunting, firearms, NASCAR, Disney movies, and football. He was especially passionate about his favorite teams: Penn State, the Pittsburgh Steelers, and the New York Yankees.

Bryan is survived by his daughter, Amanda (James) Ellis; his son, Bryan (Kristen) Burdge, Jr.; and four cherished grandchildren, Kristianya, Gavin, Isabellah, and Bryan, III; parents, Ed and Eileen Burdge, and his brother, Jim Burdge. He is also survived by three aunts and uncle, Theresa Brown, Joanne (Sam) Miller and Virginia Regi, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, sister and brother in-laws. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 43 years, Charlene Burdge, who passed away on November 20, 2025; grandparents, Uncle Ross Brown, Uncle Pete Regi, Aunt Audrey (Ronald) Bradnick, Aunt Erma (Richard) Fazenbaker, and Aunt Susan Brooks. Bryan will be remembered fondly as a devoted husband, father, son, and grandfather.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects on Sunday, February 15, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home (SW Chapel), 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd., Toledo. A Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, February 16, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Patrick of Heatherdowns Catholic Church, 4201 Heatherdowns Blvd., Toledo. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Northwest Ohio or to the family.
