Bruce E. Westray, 65, of Lambertville, Michigan, formerly of Livonia, Michigan, passed away on July 2, 2026. Born to the union of Charles and Susie Westray, both of whom preceded him in death, Bruce grew up surrounded by family, friendship, and the values that shaped the warm, dependable man he became.
A proud graduate of Bedford High School, Class of 1979, Bruce continued his education at Monroe County Community College, always striving to learn, grow, and build a meaningful life. He was most recently employed with Dana Corporation, where he was known for his dedication and steady work ethic.
Bruce found joy in life’s simple pleasures, especially attending Toledo Mud Hens baseball games. Whether cheering from the stands or sharing a laugh with loved ones, Bruce embraced every moment with a fun-loving spirit. His family describes him as someone you could always count on, reliable, kind-hearted, and full of warmth.
He leaves to cherish his memory his brother Mike (Kathy) Westray; sister Laura (Jeff) Payne; and Jim Hansen. He is lovingly remembered by his nieces Connie (Ken) and Lyndsey; nephews Aaron, Garett, Tony (Gabby), Noah, and Trevor ; great-nephews Logan and Braden; and great-nieces Sadie and Macie. Each of them carries a piece of Bruce’s laughter, generosity, and steady presence in their hearts.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date, where family and friends will gather to honor Bruce’s legacy and the joy he brought into their lives.
