Brenda Kay Swesey

Brenda Kay Swesey, 82, of Toledo, Ohio, peacefully passed away on December 17, 2025, at St. Charles Hospital. Born on April 8, 1943, in Holland, OH, she was the beloved daughter of Gerald and Lena Brown.

Brenda was known for her deep love of family, cherishing moments spent with her children and especially her grandchildren. She had a passion for crocheting, enjoyed caring for her animals, and took an interest in politics.

Brenda is survived by her loving children: David Swesey, Gary Swesey, Kenny (Cathy) Swesey, Teresa (Bill) Pettis, Jody (Ricky) Swesey, Brenda Leihr, James Swesey, Tina Swesey, and Todd Swesey. She leaves behind a beautiful legacy of 17 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Brenda was preceded in death by her husband, David, and her siblings, Ruthann, Ida, Bruce, and Sonny. She will be remembered fondly by all who knew her, and her spirit will live on in the hearts of her family and friends.
