Brenda Jean Irwin

It is with deep sadness that the family of Brenda Jean Irwin announce her passing on August 26, 2025, at the age of 67.

Born on April 26, 1958, Brenda was a devoted daughter, mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt. She graduated from Woodward High School and went on to build a meaningful career with the Lucas County Board of Developmental Disabilities, where she dedicated herself to helping others before retiring.

Brenda’s life was defined by her love of family. She was a constant source of encouragement, warmth, and laughter, always ready with a smile or a listening ear. Her grandchildren were her pride and joy, and she treasured every moment spent with them. She also enjoyed family gatherings, where her sense of humor and caring spirit made her the heart of the celebration.

She is lovingly remembered by her son Cedric Irwin Sr.; grandchildren Elijah Williams, Kimmie Dixson, and Cedric Irwin Jr.; brothers Kenneth and Amos Irwin; sister Shelia Irwin; niece Kathy Irwin (Ahmad Hunt); nephew Carlito Okey; and great-nieces Cheyenne and Chloe Irwin. Brenda also leaves behind many extended family members and lifelong friends who will miss her dearly.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Nona and Amos Irwin Sr.

Brenda will be remembered for her kindness, her laughter, and the love she poured into everyone around her. She created countless memories that will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.

Private services will be held by the family
