Bonnie (Hadlock) Dallaire, a beloved soul known for her warmth, kindness, and spirit, passed away on April 26, 2026, in Defiance, Ohio. Born on May 15, 1945, in Toledo, Ohio,
A graduate of Whiteford High School in Whiteford Township, Michigan, Class of 1963, Bonnie furthered her education at trade school, setting a foundation for the meaningful career that would follow. She made a significant mark as a highly regarded salesperson at J.C. Penny's, where her talents and dedication earned her numerous awards throughout the years—a testament to her commitment and excellence.
But Bonnie’s gifts extended far beyond her professional achievements. She was a wonderful singer, enchanting audiences as a cherished member of a local choir that performed both within her community and across the Midwest. Her voice was more than music; it was a warm embrace that uplifted and inspired all who heard it. Bonnie’s kind nature and welcoming spirit made her especially loved by children, whom she always made feel at ease and cherished.
Her personality shone brightly in every moment. Known for her good sense of humor and innate ability to connect with people, Bonnie constantly created an environment of comfort and joy. She loved being surrounded by friends and family, embracing each relationship with genuine warmth and kindness. Her love for animals—especially cats, dogs, and horses—further highlighted her gentle and nurturing heart.
Bonnie was preceded in death by her son, Edward Blake Jr.; her father, George Harmon Hadlock; and her mother, Marion (Rager) Hadlock. She is survived by her brothers, Charles Hadlock and his wife Rosanne of Riga, Michigan, and Alan Hadlock of Beloit, Wisconsin. She also leaves behind her grandson, Malcom McTaggart of Windsor, Ontario, along with a host of loving extended family and friends who will forever hold her memory close.
A visitation to celebrate Bonnie’s life will be held from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM on June 28, 2026, at Newcomer Funeral Home, Northwest Toledo, located at 4150 W Laskey Rd, Toledo, Ohio 43623. This will be followed by a memorial service from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location, offering a time for all who knew and loved Bonnie to come together in remembrance.
Bonnie (Hadlock) Dallaire’s legacy is one of compassion, joy, and an open heart that touched countless lives. Though she has departed from this world, her spirit lives on in the warmth of her song, the laughter she inspired, and the love she so generously shared. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
