It is with heavy hearts that we announce the unexpected passing of Bob Lindner on September 19, 2026 in his home. A resident of Perrysburg, Ohio, he was born in Toledo on September 24, 1954 to Melvin Robert Sr. and Shirley Evelyn (Nicklin) Lindner.
Bob's employment included Frisch’s Big Boy, Hometown Buffet and most recently, the Walgreens Distribution Center until his retirement. He was an avid football fan and followed the Kansas City Chiefs and Ohio State. Bob attended the induction ceremony at the Football Hall of Fame for 29 years. In his earlier years, he enjoyed the Toledo Goaldiggers and playing softball with his dad and brothers, Larry and Greg.
Surviving is his loving wife of 52 years, Sandra Lindner; son, Jason (April) Lindner; daughter, Mindy (Jim) Adams; grandchildren, Zach, Hope, Hannah, Cuyler and Caleb; great-grandchildren, Gwendalyn, Harper and Lillia; siblings, Greg (Jennifer), Cathy, Stacey, LeeAnn (Ken), Taffy (Tim) His best friend, Gerald Jones and bonus children Jeremy and Carrie. Along with many nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Shelby; brothers, Larry and Doug; mother and father in-law, Robert and Leona Vallade and brothers in law, Joe, John and Jeff, and niece Elise.
Bob was a loving husband, an amazing father, most doting grandfather and great-grandfather! He was extremely proud of having a 5 generation family. As a grandfather, his grandbabies were his entire world! Sharing the love for his family thru photos and stories, everyone could share in his joy. Being the oldest of his siblings, he took that role very seriously. Music was also a passion for Bob. He loved to stump people with music trivia. And tell of the countless concerts he's attended.
