Beverly Ann Tober

Bev was born in Royal Oak, MI on September 15, 1946 to Doris (Managhan) and Louis Gray, she was later adopted as the first child of Doris and Jack Cook. Bev graduated from Central Catholic High School in 1963. She attended Davis Business College, and married John Milton Tober in 1964. Together they raised two beautiful children, Gregory Michael and the late Amy Marie McCurdy in Fort Wayne, IN. Ever the fashion critic, Bev enjoyed her years working as manager of Nobbson Place in Fort Wayne and later at Dillard’s.

Bev was most proud of her grandchildren; Nick (Caylin) McCurdy, Katelyn McCurdy, Jack McCurdy, Adam McCurdy, Joe McCurdy, Anna Tober (Tyler) Hutton, Michael (Carson Pifer) Tober, and of course, great-grandchildren Ava and Luke McCurdy. In addition, she is survived by her son Greg (Staci Dueker) Tober; siblings, Donna Lloyd, Patsy (Ron) Burnard, Michael (Janice) Cook, Herbie (Sue) Cook, James Cook; sister-in-law, Diane Cook, special friend and sister-in-law, Mary Tober and a host of nieces and nephews.

Bev was preceded in death by her loving husband, John; daughter Amy; grandson, Trevor; parents, Jack and Doris Cook; brother, Jack and her canine companion, Angel.

Friends and family will be received at Christ the King Catholic Church, 4100 Harvest Lane, Toledo, Ohio 43623 on Saturday, May 24, 2025 from 9:30 AM-10:30 AM with a funeral mass at 10:30 AM. Bev will be laid to rest in Resurrection Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made in Bev’s name to the Alzheimer’s Association. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Newcomer Funeral Home, South Chapel, Toledo, Ohio.
